Our History

In 1943, the San Bernardino Army Air Depot Employees Credit Union opened to provide trustworthy financial services for the people serving at the Air Force base. When the base was closing in the 1990s, we decided to work towards expanding membership. In 2007, we changed our name to Alta Vista and obtained a community charter to expand membership to anyone who lives, works or worships in the San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. We pride ourselves on service, transparency, and a local community approach to banking.

We’ve had over 80 years to perfect our services.

- Personalized service at two branch locations, one in Redlands located at 1425 West Lugonia Avenue across from the Citrus Plaza, and the other in Rialto located at 2025 North Riverside Ave.

- Electronic services on your computer, tablet, and phone. Services include mobile banking, mobile check deposit, bill pay, and an electronic banking suite.

- A variety of loans and accounts with great interest rates.

- 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs all over the world through our CO-OP network.

Instead of making a profit for our shareholders, we’re making finances more profitable for you through better loan rates, lower service charges, and better dividends on savings. Our staff is committed to honesty, integrity, and respect.

Our member’s deposits are insured up to a combined $250,000 by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF). The NCUSIF is administered by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an agency of the federal government.
